Through leukemia, chemo-immunotherapy, and MCAS, I became obsessed with what was touching my skin while I slept. Every dye. Every finish. Every fiber.

For years I carried one cheap "silk" pillowcase, to chemo and to the ER, under my head with an ice pack on top. One bad day I looked at it and couldn't tell you what it was. No brand could prove what its silk was made of.

So one night, walking alone under the moon, I decided to build the one I couldn't find.
